Job Description: ISP is canvassing the certification list and is accepting applications from lateral transfers and reinstatements. 'Per Governor's Executive Order #S-12-09, this position is subject to the reduction of 13.85% to facilitate the three furlough days named in the order, which is subject to end on 06/30/2010. The minimum and maximum salaries indicated on this bulletin DO NOT reflect this pay reduction.' All Methods of appointment may be considered. The Correctional Supervising Cook in a large correctional culinary program, will have responsibility to supervise a large crew in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food to residents and employees; to supervise the maintenance of culinary equipment, supplies, and work areas; to instruct culinary workers; to maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, wards, residents, or patients; to protect and maintain the safety of persons and property; may instruct, lead, or supervise inmates, wards, or resident workers; and to do other related work.
