Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities:Under the supervision of the Supervising Registerd Nurse, The Hospital Worker provides members with assistance in bathing, dressing, grooming, and other areas of personal hygiene when necessary. Assist members in maintaining their ability to live independently including but not limited to room cleanliness and organization, mail sorting, and personal effect management. Assist with packing and upacking of members’ personal property during admission or discharge process of residents. Assist members with the washing of their personal laundry and bed linens; assist members with weekly bed linen changes. Assist members with prescribed medications which are self-administered. Encourage members to be active and involved socially; provide accompaniment and support to residents participating in activities in or away from the facility. Perform routine housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting furniture and fixtures, washing walls and windows, appliance cleaning, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles. Assist in moving and arranging furniture and equipment. Tasks may be in common areas or members’ rooms. Make rounds of building as necessary and observe members for unusal symptoms or behaviors and take appropriate action when necessary. Is vigilant of any unsafe or unhealthy condition.
