Job Description: Under the direct supervision of the EPM III, the incumbent will provide direct supervision to the Training Coordination & Evaluation Unit in order to develop and maintain statewide training processes, measures, and evaluations. The incumbent is responsible for directing staff to: develop and coordinate training class schedules; obtain and prepare training facilities; develop and provide training evaluations to managers of trainees; develop tools and processes to track and evaluate all aspects of training and deploy and maintain a 'Training for Trainers' program. The incumbent will conduct training classes as needed; provide coaching and mentoring to new trainers, and lead in the development of competencies for trainers. In conjunction with the Training Development and Oversight Unit staff, provides direction to develop tools and processes to evaluate all aspects of training. May participate on various Branch-wide workgroups related to training. Acts as group manager when necessary and participates as a member of the UIPCD Management Team. DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES: The UIPCD is seeking a self-motivated, independent, dependable, and organized individual to lead the Training Coordination & Evaluation Unit. We are seeking an individual with strong managerial skills for the successful deployment of field training, the ability to oversee all four central training centers and demonstrated technological skills. The individual must have the ability to keep abreast of new technologies used to create the training. This leader must have a strong UI background, preferably in the determinations and claim filing fields. Willingness to travel as needed for management and oversight of the trainers and training centers (up to 35% of the time) is required. The ability to meet strict deadlines and effectively communicate with a variety of people in person, on the telephone, and in writing is also critical. WHO CAN APPLY: Individuals currently at the EPM II level or who are currently eligible on the EPM II list and who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply. FOR RECRUITMENT PURPOSES: Will consider reimbursement of relocation expenses up to $5,000. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unemployment Insurance program knowledge and experience is required for this position. In addition to the State Application (STD 678), applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications, no more than two pages in length, which addresses how their UI experience and knowledge qualifies them for this position.
