Job Description: This position is limited-term with the possibility of becoming permanent, full-time. Who may apply: Persons currently in the classification eligible to transfer, lateral transfers, voluntary demotions, those eligible for appointment from a certification list, and employees on a SROA list or designated surplus. Training and Development Assignments will be considered. All applicants will be considered; only the most qualified will be interviewed. Submit a completed state application (STD 678) and a recent job performance evaluation. Under general supervision of the Sr. Accounting Officer Supervisor, the Accountant I Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the production of work performed by subordinate accounting staff. Oversees the receipt, identification and deposits made through the internal cashiering function. Oversees invoicing and collections to and from other agencies and contracted entities including Forestry and Fire Protection reimbursements. Gathers data for various financial reports such as employee fringe benefit taxation reports to the State Controller’s Office, Year –End projections and accruals. Develops and maintains various procedural manuals, trains and evaluates the performance of subordinate staff. Appointment is subject to all State and Departmental Freeze Restrictions. Salary will be adjusted accordingly to comply with the provisions of the current furlough program. Additional Information:
