Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for various fiscal duties which include: reviewing and analyzing claims and invoices, making timely and accurate disbursements in accordance with applicable rules and regulations using automated systems, reconciling various accounts, analyzing and resolving payment issues and acting as a technical consultant. Incumbent must be able to work both independently and in a team environment. Individual will be responsible for a variety of diverse and complex accounting tasks including performing professional accounting work in the establishment and maintenance for the Health Care Deposits Fund and other funds, preparing reports summarizing data for the Federal Report of Expenditure, CMS-64 monthly and quarterly reports, processing payments for time-sensitive complex contracts. The funding for expenditures in the Health Care Deposit Fund are maintained in an integrated system to provide timely reporting to the federal government and provide information for the General Fund and Federal Fund draw. Strong computer, communication and analytical skills are highly desirable.
