Per Executive order #S-13-09, issued 7/1/09, this position is subject to pay reduction of 13.85% to facilitate the three furlough days named in the order, which is subject to end on 6/30/2010. The minimum and maximum salaries indicated on this employment inquiry DO NOT reflect this pay reduction. Duties: Under the direction of the Procurement & Services Officer Ii, the Business Services Officer II is responsible for supervision of the following Business Service functions: purchasing, service contracts and property management. Function as the institution contract liaison and SWABIZ airline Travel Manager. Directly supervise 4 (four) employees (2 Business Service Assistants, 1 Property Controller and I Office Assistant). Supervise assigned staff. Review service and expense order (S&E) request for compliance with state regulations. Prepare and distribute S&E's, obtain required documentation and maintain S&E files. Monitor active contracts and complete CRR's. Review and/ or prepare contract documents. Forward to and follow up with HQ Contracts Unit, Maintain contract file. Respond to Regional Accounting Office request for contract funds transfer. Review contract and S&E encumbrance balance and expenditures. Institutional coordinator for repair and purchase of copiers. Determine replacement of copiers. Prepare purchase documents as needed. Monitor copier usage. Review and approve copier invoices. Maintain copier invoice file and document vendor performance. Follow up on service request. Assist the Procurement Officer and Business Manager with gathering information and preparing justifications for Equipment Budget Request. Coordinate with Procurement Officer in setting office policy regarding purchases for other CRC departments. Prepare procurement reports and correspondence as needed. Provide coverage behind the Procurement Officer. Participate in various projects assigned to the Business Office. Participate in the hiring process. Participate in development and review of DOM supplements and operational procedures. Oversee all areas of property management, including survey reports, disposition of surveyed equipment, equipment inventory process, vehicle registration and movement within the institution.
