Job Description: Under general direction of the Assistant Hospital Administrator, the Barbershop Manager supervises and coordinates the operation of resident and patient barbering services in the Veterans Home. Provide standard barbershop personal services consisting of shampooing hair, cutting hair, styling hair, trimming and grooming beards, etc. for residents and patients of the Veterans Home. Encourage patients and residents to develop interest and pride in personal appearance and good grooming. Perform various barbering services for patients and residents requiring special attention. Establish and maintain standards of shop sanitation and cleanliness; ensure that all equipment and work areas adhere to approved infection control guidelines of the facility. Requisition supplies and make recommendations for purchase of equipment. Responsible for maintaining records of supply inventories.
