Job Description: If you are looking for a challenge in a high profile program that can make a difference in the lives of children and adults with special health care needs, consider working in the Systems of Care Division, Children’s Medical Services Branch. The Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Branch is responsible for administration of three major statewide programs: the California Children’s Services Program (CCS), the Genetically Handicapped Persons Program (GHPP), and the Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP). CMS’ dedicated staff administers these programs that provide a comprehensive system of health care through preventive screening services, diagnostic services, treatment, rehabilitation services, and follow-up services. CMS has successfully assisted thousands of children and adults with special health care needs in gaining access to the medical treatment necessary to restore and improve their functioning and long-term prognosis. The Systems of Care Division is in search of an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA). The AGPA performs a wide variety of consultative and analytical assignments such as program evaluation, planning, and monitoring; systems development; and budget analysis. The AGPA will serve as a multi-disciplinary state site review team member and will assist in the development, implementation, oversight, monitoring, and evaluation of the statewide California Children’s Services (CCS) Program Special Care Center (SCC) and hospital review component.
