Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for physical dianosis, psycho-social assessment and management of health-illness needs in primary care. The role of the Nurse Practitioner is to inegrate health maintenance, disease prevention, physical diagnosis and treatment common episodic and chronic problems in primary care with equal emphasis on health teaching and management. Who May Apply: Persons currently in the classification eligible to transfer, lateral transfer, voluntary demotions, reinstatements, those eligible for appointmet from a certification list, and employees on a SROA list or designated surplus.
