The Health Record Technician I, under the supervision of the Health Record Technician II, Supervisor, uses approved written established criteria and acceptable professional practices to abstract, code, collate, and review data from medical records, laboratory records, vital records, and other related sources; ensures patient records are developed and maintained properly. A detailed duty statement is available on request. Salaries will be adjusted accordingly to comply with the provisions of the current furlough programs. “Per Governor's Executive Order #S-13-09, issued 07/01/2009, this position is subject to a pay reduction of 13.85% to facilitate the three furlough days named in the order, which is subject to end on 06/30/2010.
