JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction and supervision of the Accounting Officer, and in accordance with established State/Departmental policies and procedures, the Account Clerk II functions as “Trust Clerk” for the Inmate Trust Accounting Section for the Calipatria State Prison. The Account Clerk II duties include tasks concerned with departmental accounts and funds and work with records such as: preparing, compiling, and checking payroll, posting, verifying, balancing, and adjusting accounts, filing batches, expense claims, documents and other paper; assisting in preparing statistical or accounting reports; and maintaining various financial records.
