Job Description: This position is Limited Term due to the Statewide Internal Hiring Restriction. In the future the tenure may become Permanent. Under the direct supervision of the Community Resource Manager, the Chaplain interviews and counsels inmates on ethical and moral problems and spiritual matters; prepares and conducts religious services and administers religious and sacred music; supervises the arranging of programs conducted in the institution by visiting religious and allied groups; counsels with inmates regarding family problems; serves when designated as a group member consultant or to classification committees; and works with inmate groups and inmate activities. List Appointments and Lateral Transfers will be considered. Applications may be screened and only the most qualified will be considered. This position is pending Freeze Exemption Approval.
