Job Description: Under the clinical supervision of the Chief Physician and Surgeon, the Nurse Practitioner, CF, utilizing standardized procedures, provides routine primary care services to the inmate population, including assessment, diagnosis, management and treatment of episodic illness and chronic illness, as well as health promotion and general evaluation of health status. Care may be provided in the Reception Center, Housing units, Specialty Clinics, Yard Clinics, Correctional Treatment Center, or other clinical settings as determined by the Health Care Manager or designee. May be required to perform other duties as deemed necessary for essential institutional operations. Salaries will be adjusted to comply with the provisions of the current furlough program.
