Job Description: The Health Record Technician II (Supervisor) supervises persons performing health information related technical and clerical functions; reviewing abstracted manual and computerized information for completeness, consistency and quality; Performs simple analysis of data; and assists in the training and instruction of health information and clinical personnel. *Salaries will be adjusted accordingly to comply with the provisions of the current furlough programs. “Per Governor's Executive Order #S-13-09, issued 07/01/2009, this position is subject to a pay reduction of 13.85% to facilitate the three furlough days named in the order, which is subject to end on 06/30/2010. Requirements (Minimum Qualifications): Either: Two years of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Health Record Technician I. Or II Four years of increasingly responsible medical or health records experience, performing a variety of tasks including at least two years of coding, indexing, and abstracting health data.
