Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Food Services Supervisor I, the Food Services Technician I, will read menus for regular and modified therapeutic diets. Set up assigned stations with required serving equipment and utensils. Carefully serve food following diet tray carts and observe portion control. Deliver and retrieve food carts to residences, deliver coffee and nourishments to all residents, retrieve soiled utensils from residences. Receive transport carts and load items into the ovens and set up ahead of time for breakfast, dinner and supper. Assist in putting cold foods on tables just prior to meal time (milk, etc.). Ensure that diets are served correctly. Assist residents at meal times; serve water, coffee, tea, etc. After each meal, return unused food/serving utensils to proper place. Clear tables of dirty dishes after meals. Place dry garbage into proper receptacle. Place trays into transport carts to be returned to the kitchen for sanitizing. Clean all carts, tables and chairs in dining room. Sweep dining room floor; receive and assist in putting away supplies. Scrub floor in kitchen and assist with cart and dish washing.
