The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), under the clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician, provides a basic level of general nursing care to inmates incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through medication management, emergency response, patient education and treatments. Performs Health Care related duties consistent with the LVN Scope of Practice. A detailed duty statement is available upon request. Salaries will be adjusted accordingly to comply with the provisions of the current furlough programs. “Per Governor's Executive Order #S-13-09, issued 07/01/2009, this position is subject to a pay reduction of 13.85% to facilitate the three furlough days named in the order, which is subject to end on 06/30/2010.
