Job Description: A Psychiatric Technician works under direct nursing supervision to provide a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to adult inmates. New civil service employees (individuals hired from outside State service) appointed on or after 01/01/03 to a classification listed above and employed at any correctional institution, performing satisfactorily, shall be eligible to receive the appropriate recruitment differential upon completion of the specific qualifying and consecutive qualifying pay period(s). ***Salaries will be adjusted accordingly to comply with the provisions of the current furlough programs. “Per Governor's Executive Order #S-13-09, issued 07/01/2009, this position is subject to a pay reduction of 13.85% to facilitate the three furlough days named in the order, which is subject to end on 06/30/2010.
