Job Description: CANDIDATES MUST HAVE CERTIFICATION LIST ELIGIBILITY. Under the supervision of the Supervising Registered Nurse II, CF, the Registered Nurse assists in the planning and evaluation of inmate health services; assists in the clinical direction/supervision of the LVN’s in the performance of their clinical duties; directs, supervises and trains LVN’s in clinically related functions. Monitors nursing care, develops and implements patient care plans. Supervises the administration of narcotics, medications and treatment. Provides clinical supervision/direction to LVN’s in the performance of their clinical duties; monitors nursing care developments and implements patient care plans. Maintains professional and ethical practices in dealing with patients, plans, assigns and directs patient care. Collaborates with the Supervising Registered Nurse on probationary and annual performance evaluations. Makes recommendations on training. Identifies and resolves problems in the provision of health care. Assures appointment and schedules are completed in a timely fashion. Prepares recommendations related to plans, budget requests, policies and procedures for the nursing unit. Ensures that the facility environment is safe and clean and that security measures are maintained. PLEASE NOTE: SALARY WILL BE ADJUSTED ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CURRENT FURLOUGH PROGRAM.
