Job Description: The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), under the clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician, provides a basic level of general nursing care to inmates incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through medication management, emergency response, patient education and treatments. Performs Health Care related duties consistent with the LVN Scope of Practice. A detailed duty statement is available upon request. Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse is required.
