Job Description: THIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO GEN REEMPLOYMENT SROA/SURPLUS CANDIDATES AND ANY STATE EMPLOYEE, FORMER STATE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO TRANSFER OR MAY BE REACHABLE ON AN ELIGIBILITY LIST. IF INTERESTED, PLEASE SUBMIT A COMPLETED STATE APPLICATION FORM (STE. 678) AND CURRENT RESUME. Positions at this level perform as staff specialists assisting the highest level administrator with responsibility for the completion of highly complex fiscal activities having multifunctional and/or multigeographical impact. Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities; Four year degree with a major in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus; Proficient knowledge of general accounting principles and practices as it applies to a fiscal department in a multi-functional government entity; Working knowledge of verbal communication techniques to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals (e.g., managers, staff, customers, public, Executive Office) conversing and questioning as dictated by the situation at hand;Knowledge of principles of organization and administration; Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and business law; Knowledge of research techniques, statistical methods; Knowledge of information systems/applications Knowledge of Project Management; Knowledge of principles of public finance; Ability to prioritize workload and perform timely and accurate reporting; Skill to use computer programs to perform job; outlook, excel, word, access etc.; Ability to provide and coordinate training; Skill and ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action; Ability to prepare clear, complete and concise written reports; Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relations with those contacted in the work.
