Job Description: Via the telephone, assist individuals to file Unemployment Insurance (UI) claims, provide UI claim information, adjust payments for UI benefits and determine eligibility for UI benefits in a fast-paced, non-public environment. Some positions are Limited-Term which may become permanent. WHO MAY APPLY: Candidates who are current state employees with status in the above classification, lateral transfers from an equivalent class, or eligible for a Training and Development Assignment, former state employees who can reinstate into the above class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for the classification. Candidates whose eligibility is based on a state employment list must submit a copy of their examination results, indicating their test score, along with proof that educational requirements have been met. All interested applicants must submit a standard State Application Form STD 678 (with original signature), and must clearly indicate the basis of their eligibility in line item number 12 (explanation) of the STD 678. Applications without eligibility information will not be considered. Appointment is subject to SROA and State surplus policies. Surplus candidates must submit a copy of their surplus status letter.
