Job Description: The DMH Vacaville Psychiatric Program (VPP) is located within the California Medical Facility (CMF - Department of Corrections). The Program consists of a licensed 150-bed Acute Psychiatric Program, a licensed 76-bed Intermediate Care Facility, and a 44-bed Day Treatment Program. Under the supervision of program management, the Senior MTA supervises and works with staff performing health care and custodial activities in an assigned area. The Senior MTA maintains order as a Peace Officer and the Program Custody Supervisor, supervises the conduct of inmate-patients; maintains the safety of persons and property; and other related work. The Senior MTA ensures the program is staffed to meet minimum licensing requirements, fire/life safety and inmate-patient care standards. Positions currently exist on all watches.
