Job Description: The DMH Vacaville Psychiatric Program (VPP) is located within the California Medical Facility (CMF - Department of Corrections). The Program consists of a licensed 150-bed Acute Psychiatric Program, a licensed 76-bed Intermediate Care Facility, and a 44-bed Day Treatment Program. Under the general direction of the Medical Director, the Physician & Surgeon is responsible for planning, directing, and performing all phases of the medical services provided and for making professional decisions regarding surgery and general medical work.
