Job Description: The DMH Vacaville Psychiatric Program (VPP) is located within the California Medical Facility (CMF Department of Corrections). The Program consists of a licensed 150-bed Acute Psychiatric Program, a licensed 76-bed Intermediate Care Facility, and a 44-bed Day Treatment Program. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician, and is responsible for physical diagnosis, psycho-social assessment, and management of health-illness needs in primary care. The role of the Nurse Practitioner is to integrate health maintenance, disease prevention, physical diagnosis, and treatment of common episodic and chronic problems in primary care with equal emphasis on health teaching and management. The salary indicated includes $2260.00 Plata differential. Additional Information:
